Daryn R. Johnson, 72, Oblong, Illinois, passed away Wednesday June 5, 2013 at 6:30 pm at Crawford memorial Hospital, Robinson, Illinois.
Daryn was born on March 8, 1941, in Robinson, Illinois. He was the son of Wiley E. and Theora N. (Miller) Johnson.
Daryn was a self employed grain farmer and raise Registered Welsh Ponies for many years. He was a member of the Oblong Christian Church; Oblong High School Class of 1959; Illinois Draft Pony Association; Heartland Welsh Club; North Ohio Draft Pony Association and was a Life Member of Welsh Pony & COB Association of America. Daryn was a member of the Oblong Police Department in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s.
Daryn is survived by several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Burial will be in Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
